I do not miss the linker, and I thoroughly enjoy the following: |

#1. Literal string support in flash (rather than vapor chip data space!) |
|
|
|
|
#2. eeprom storage class (class-eeeey!) |
|
|
|
|
#3. Intelligent string functions involving flash |
|
|
|
|
#4. Superior IDE w/wonderful extras (like, CodeWizard) |

|

“I just finished a VHDL development for a customer on the Atmel FPslic AT94k platform. I used CodeVisionAVR to exercise my FPGA part and found it terrific ! Even for an embedded C non-expert like me : In about 20 lines, I have built a working demonstrator for my customer's hardware. Again, I'm not an expert, but I found the generated code to be quite clever, compact and apparently very efficent.” |

“Just wanted to let you know that I have been using your compiler now on a daily basis for about 6 months and that it is a pleasure to use. Being an old assembly programmer and knowing there was nothing between me and the machine was always reassuring. Since I now use a C compiler between me and the machine it is comforting to know that there are timely updates and fixes by more experienced programmers than myself working to make sure their compiler is the best. I read on the forums about people having a lot of issues with "other" AVR compilers especially the free ones.
